Henry and Mudge, well more Mudge than Henry

Whew, how the time flies!  From baby books to chapter books in a flash. The Prince picks four to five different Henry and Mudge books every time we go to the library. I have tried to explain that he may want to pace himself (HAHAHAHA, he is wayyyy to much like his momma for that concept) as there are not an infinite number of Henry and Mudge books, but he is too interesting in Henry and Mudge's adventures to care.

So, I was thrilled when I found a Henry and Mudge project on one of the blogs I follow and immediately wanted to recreate it, so while daddy slept in this morning that is exactly what we did.

Thanks to Amy with Step into Second Grade for the inspiration!

We followed it up with our creation of Mudge and of course, a learning task thrown in :). The three bones represent the beginning, middle and end of the story. The Prince dictated and I wrote.

I will say that the letter X and Z are not X and Z words...they have a bit of a twist that you might want to explain :) **FYI...the "slow" download is the free one.
